Dr. Lucy is very excited to be the founder of a new independent practice and continue her passion for honest and compassionate pet care. At home, Lucy is a proud parent, keen tandem cyclist, has two rescue chihuahuas and a cat!

Melissa Lucas
RVN
Registered Veterinary Nurse
Melissa qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2021 after training at Sparsholt College. As part of the clinical team, she supports the day-to-day care of patients and assists Dr. Lucy during consultations and procedures.

Outside of work, Melissa enjoys staying active, going on long walks with her rescue dog from Cyprus, and caring for her three cats, two of whom are rescues.

Clare Somerton

Nursing Assistant
Clare has over 35 years’ experience in veterinary care and animal welfare. She was Head of Rehoming at the RSPCA and brings a wealth of practical experience from working closely with both clinical teams and rescue animals.

Clare is currently studying towards a diploma in canine behaviour and has a particular interest in behaviour and welfare. Outside of work, she enjoys running and long walks with her dogs, and shares her home with 14 rescue animals, including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, a rabbit and two tortoises!
